Frog Legs

Frog Legs' Cajun and zydeco dance music brings the warmth and high spirits of the southwest Louisiana bayou to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Frog Legs has two configurations, one modern, one traditional. We most often play as a full five-piece with an electric rhythm section including drums, led by the Cajun accordion and fiddle. But we also love performing in the more traditional, acoustic style, as a quartet with the rhythm section consisting of stand-up bass and acoustic guitar.

We have a lot of fun producing our unique Frog Legs sound. At the same time, aside from a few enjoyable detours into roots-rock originals, both our electric and acoustic styles are heartfelt and rooted respectfully in Cajun and Creole tradition.

Frog Legs performs at premier music clubs throughout the Bay Area, including regular shows at the Ashkenaz in Berkeley, Bobby's Backdoor Cajun BBQ in Richmond, the Eagles Hall in Alameda, and the historic honkytonk DeMarco's 23 Club in Brisbane. Performances have included bills with Queen Ida at the Ashkenaz, Wayne "Zydecajun Rocker" Toups at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, and Joan Baez in Palo Alto.
